Minted Lamb Burgers

Ingredients:

1 pound ground Lamb
1 small Onion, coarsely grated
1 tsp finely minced Garlic
1/4 cup chopped fresh Mint
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 toasted Hamburger buns
4 slices Tomato
1/3 cup plain nonfat Yogurt, drained

Method:

- Drain the yogurt through a strainer lined with cheesecloth for one hour before serving.
- Place the ground lamb in a bowl and mix well with onion, garlic and chopped mint, being sure not to over-mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Gently form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Grill the burgers 3" from heat, for about 4 minutes per side for rare meat or 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Serve the lamb burgers immediately on buns topped with a tomato slice and a dollop of yogurt, if desired.
